Maine Liquid Methane Fuels Secures Option Agreement to Develope Energy Plant in Brewer, ME.

BREWER, Maine – Maine Liquid Methane Fuels, LLC (MLMF) has signed and executed an Option Agreement with the City of Brewer, ME to acquire approximately ten acres of land to develop a liquid methane fuels energy plant.

The plant, attendant processing and distribution assets, and other project components are projected to cost ~$50,000,000.00. The Company has estimated that the project will create 12-20 full-time permanent jobs at a wage 142% greater than the average wage for the Greater Bangor area. Additionally, 6-10 transport related jobs will be created and are likely to grow in number as additional phases come on line.

The Company is committed to creating jobs and catalyzing economic activity in Penobscot County and the interior of the State of Maine. By leveraging existing natural gas and transportation infrastructure, MLMF will deliver less expensive alternative fuels to businesses, institutions, and transportation companies currently beholden to heavy hydro-carbon fuels and electricity.
